“Welcome HOME!” It’s certainly an expression I love to tell my clients as much as possible. For over a decade, I have had the great pleasure in assisting folks move in and out of the Southern Oregon region within the beautiful Rogue Valley.

With an MBA in International Business as well as over 12+ years of experience managing complex Real Estate operations, I am confident in my abilities to help people and business navigate the roadmaps of where they have been, where they are now, and where they are hoping to go.

Each property and every person is different, a concept I have embraced within each residential, commercial, and rural land opportunity project that presents its own unique attention – just like each of us! And just like I tell my clients, there are “Many Moving parts when it comes to Moving!”

Recognized for my top sales and performance goals, I have a demonstrated track record of over $47M+ in sale and lease acquisitions for multimillion-dollar real estate and development projects across residential, commercial, and land assets; while coordinating negotiations, timelines, contract structures, real estate development, vendor management, and stakeholder relationships.

At the age of 15, I started selling Pretzels (Prezelmaker) as a Shift Manager + shoes as a Team Leader (The Buckle) developing my skills in consumer-facing operations and customer-driven business models that supports high-volume initiatives in fast paced environments. As the Top Salesman in the Western Region at the age of 16 and navigating life at a young age on my own; I realized that sales is simple –

A) To meet people where they are at on an energetic, emotional, and intellectual level
B) Be Authentic with firm values in Integrity, and
C) to ABC “Always Be Closing!”

In my previous life as an Admissions Advisor recruiting for Universities from Utah State, University of Washington, and studying abroad at Yonsei University in Seoul, S. Korea – I gained opportunities to work with folks from diverse backgrounds and to truly see the world from a big picture perspective while embracing the core values of who each of us are as individuals. Born in a small town in Idaho, after my whirlwind global studies and adventures, I knew Southern Oregon was home as it spoke to my inner child of wanting to live on a giant playground! With biking and hiking trails around the corner, where one can get to most places in about 17 minutes; this girl was game to nestle into the mountains and be hugged by the trees that’s a short drive away from the stunning Oregon Coast.

Through my high school years of transitioning from various schools; my leadership skills voted me into positions from Class President, NHS, FBLA, tons of athletic sports programs (cheer, soccer, bball, dance, vball, softball), fundraising for the war in Kosovo, and defying ignorance through education by founding Multicultural clubs throughout Cache Valley, Utah. My aspirations to get after life was greater than most, as I wanted to sponge and soak up as much as I could from this beautiful world we live in, by learning as much theory as possible, and to apply that learning into my everyday life.

Knowing if I wanted the things in life I dreamt of (a house that overlooks the ocean!) that I’d have to keep my head down with the academics while also keeping my head high slinging those pretzels and shoes, in hopes that there would be a bright future ahead for this American-Korean girl who faced various levels of discrimination from racial, religious, sexist, socioeconomic perspectives; experiences that truly helped me to not only diversify and see the uniqueness that we all bring to the table, but to also have the ability to see and meet people where they are. A natural empath at heart, I recognize that at the end of the day; we're all human and everyone is just doing their best to make a living.

Through long days and nights working 2-3 jobs to finalize my bachelor’s degree by the age of 21 and later putting myself through Graduate school, I know very well how every penny and minute counts when those little drops fill the bucket towards one’s dreams. After years as a corporate athlete running the rat race in Seattle and Southern California, my body was tired of the traffic on the 405 freeway and relied on my heart's internal compass to guide me, by changing course to a new path navigating to Medford, Oregon.

With an MBA in International Business now under my belt, I was hired by Harry & David/1800-Flowers as a Buyer for their Global Sourcing department, where I had the opportunity to lead an awesome team and “Deliver Happiness” through online, retail, and wholesale channels. With over 3+ years of negotiating experience and managing $20M+ of import and domestic commodities for multi-million dollar contracts with overseas suppliers to ensure quality, time, and cost standards were not only up to par- but a role that gave this girl enough a time to work on her golf game out of the dozens of golf courses the Rogue Valley has to offer!

With no burning desires to sell houses; a family member was on the move and figured “Shanon is good at school, might as well get her real estate license to keep the money in the family"- ha! Yes, I did try to FSBO (For Sale By Owner) the hard way with no luck. However, after obtaining my license, the exciting world of real estate opened up for me in ways I never imagined! From being on a reality TV show on A&E, hosting various radio shows, and as a Writer for the “At Home with Shanon” magazine column with 50+ published articles that were distributed to over 47,000+ households on a monthly basis; I figured I had found my path, but not necessarily my destination.

Why? Because there’s never a dull day in the world of Real Estate by any means! Real estate is more than selling houses, and yes, if one can sell pretzels and shoes, what is the difference with real estate? While it is not a glamourous business by any means, (as the topics of mold and mice are part of a Realtor's regular language), so too are the words of success, happiness, affirmations, and goals achieved - as I take great pride in helping my clients-turned-friends manifest their dreams into reality. Just in the way I did.

After a couple of years in the business, I obtained my Principal Broker license as soon as they’d let me. As the right hand to the top real estate brokerage in the valley, I was the Co-Founder of eRealEstateCoach.com national online training program that teaches other Realtors how to be successful in their endeavors. This ignited my passions and knowledge for more, by finessing my skills and blossoming my fortes in additional training. This lead to obtaining the National Commercial Real Estate Advisor designation so that I could be equipped on helping businesses with their commercial and multi-plex needs, to the Earth Advantage Broker designation in order to obtain knowledge on how we can build sustainable properties while protecting mother earth and this beautiful place we call home. My passion for education remained steadfast as I developed and edited student and instructor materials for the Luxury Home Council of workbooks, manuals, videos, and other online content training programs for students who aspired to be Accredited Luxury Home Specialists, a designation taught and sold on OnlineEd.com.

While that’s all fine and dandy, my true passions in real estate were discovered while embracing a leadership role as a Housing & Community Development Commissioner for the city of Medford. In this position, I had the great opportunity to work with amazing non-profit organizations within the Rogue valley that supported affordable housing initiatives; from Rogue Retreat, St. Vincent De Paul, Maslow project, Habitat for Humanity, and many more.

With my doc martins from the Buckle shoes on, I was ready to pound the pavement and roll up those sleeves to really see what it was that our community needed. While luxury homes are super nice, I felt more comfortable on Sundays at the local church feeding houseless folks and learning what the true housing needs in the valley were.

To me, it didn’t make any logical sense of how I would be able to advise the City Council of recommendations on how to allocate funds for the Federal HUD housing CBDG Community Development Block Program that awards grants to local programs to improve affordable housing initiatives, if we didn’t speak directly with those who found housing to be unaffordable. While I learned first and foremost that oatmeal + brown sugar + butter usually warms the hearts and souls of people who aren’t sure where their next meal was coming from, let alone if there would be a roof over their head that night; gave me a different purpose in this business versus helping the rich get richer. And no knock to my HNWI High Net Worth Individual clients, but I find it necessary as a community that we strive for an equal balance in our distribution of housing needs, as well as within our hearts. Cheesy, I know. But after serving fancy cheeses at open houses for this long, I’m allowed to be cheesy!

And while this girl from Idaho never imagined she’d be slinging real estate deals the way she sold pretzels and shoes, I am grateful that I have positioned myself to be a trusted advisor for people who are looking for guidance in a world that can oftentimes feel confusing with not a ton of roadmaps to glean from. Yes, I do get “bored” sometimes as there is one house that I have sold THREE times, (YES -the SAME house, 3 times)… – I appreciate and trust the process and divine timing that I am in this role to intuitively guide people through some of the most challenging and rewarding times in their lives.

My favorite part of the business still lies heavily in the data and numbers as I love digging into the nitty gritty numbers and data of Comparative Market Analysis’ to help Sellers determine strategic market prices while also ensuring Buyers are getting a fair deal. A big proponent of education while embracing the experience along the way, my career in Real Estate has not only allowed me opportunities to travel the world (Belize, Germany, Sweeden, Greece, Mexico, Japan etc) I feel so incredibly grateful that my gumption persevered through the times of the ramen noodles diet, to now being the proud of Owner of Medford Oregon Real Estate Inc. (MORE).
